For over three years, Above & Beyond School has been on a mission to make high-quality tech education free, inclusive, and truly nationwide. What started as a bold idea in Phnom Penh has evolved into one of Cambodia’s most impactful bridges between underserved youth and life-changing careers in technology.
Here’s where we stand today — and why we believe the best is still ahead.
To date, a large number of students come from outside the capital: Battambang, Ratanakiri, Stung Treng, Mondulkiri, Preah Vihear, and almost every province in between. Distance doesn’t stop them; we make sure of that.
Female participation has steadily increased. Our first batch had 16% women, the second batch 32.5%, and in the third batch, women made up around 40% of students. Also, women are now participating in numbers no less than men and achieving great results.
And then there’s Sambath—from Kampong Thom staying up all night debugging his first app, now one of our senior mentors training the next generation at Above and Beyond School.
Our graduates don’t just get jobs; every student from a new province represents another step towards empowering more Cambodian youth, no matter where they are! We believe talent knows no borders, and we’re committed to nurturing potential from every corner of the nation.
